Introduction

Kalota association was founded in January 2004. The aim of the association is to uphold, to search, to teach and to present the Hungarian folk traditions such as folk music, folk dancing, arts and crafts, etc. Experts and specialists of folk arts an crafts are members of this organization.
Several fields of activities are supported by this association:

- Organising special programmes, courses, camps
- Announce scholarships
- Establish foreign relationships
- Cooperating with other similar associations
- Cultural functions
- preserving cultural heritage
- Scientific researches, publications
- Creating professional background for teaching
